What differentiates Mosner as a meat purveyor?

It is important to us to satisfy every customer as if they were sitting at our own dinner table. Our Family prides itself on maintaining a hands-on approach to our business. We work hard to find the best products available and we carefully select and cut every piece of meat to order. You can expect excellence in every cut or grind that you receive, knowing that a Mosner has personally chosen it for you.

 

After almost 60 years in business, why did Mosner decide to offer meat direct to consumers?

Quite simply, we are three generations of meat lovers who have truly enjoyed serving our loyal customers, loved ones and friends for more than 55 years. Offering our products online was a natural evolution for our business as we began to engage with Mosner Family Brands’ fans outside of our personal circles via social media and our weekend Art of Butchery Classes. What if I would like to purchase an item I don’t see on your website?

If you’re looking for a cut or protein that you don’t see on our website, please contact us via e-mail at orders@mosnerfamilybrands.com or call us at 1-718-328-5600 Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm EST. We will always do our best to work with you to satisfy your requests.

 

Is there a minimum order for delivery?

We encourage you to be adventurous and try what we have to offer. You are welcome to order as much or as little as you wish. Please make note of the number of pieces that come per package and see our “Shipping and Packaging” section for a complete explanation of the costs of shipping.

 

What should I do if I forget the password to my personal account?

If you forget the password to your account, click the “forgot my password” icon that appears when you attempt to log in. Enter your registered e-mail address and your password will automatically be sent to that address.

SHIPPING AND PACKAGING

What are my shipping options?

In order to ensure that our products arrive to your door with the utmost freshness, our meat is shipped via Periship, a FedEx partner specializing in the shipment of perishable items. .

We keep a signature waiver on file with FedEx so that the driver will always leave your package at your shipping address, even if someone is not home to sign for it. This ensures that FedEx does not "hold" your highly perishable meat products. Our packages are designed to withstand up to 48 hours of transit time without refrigeration.

 

Why is shipping of perishable items limited to next day delivery?

Mosner Family Brands limits shipping to overnight options in order to ensure that you receive a truly fresh product. All Mosner Family Brands products are selected and fabricated to order.  We guarantee our meat is never mass produced and never frozen before shipping.

 

What is the delivery date of my package? How can I track my package?

Mosner Family Brands ships orders Monday-Thursday. 

After placing an order, you will receive an e-mail confirmation from Mosner Family Brands with the details of your purchase. You will receive a second e-mail when your order ships, which will provide shipping and tracking information. Your order can be tracked at FedEx.com using the tracking number supplied in the e-mail. We ask that you keep your Mosner Family Brands account information accurate and current to ensure that you receive all e-mail communication.

How can I expect to receive my order?

Mosner Family Brands fabricates all orders in a USDA-inspected facility. Our meat is hand-selected and hand-cut to order, which guarantees freshness and quality. Mosner Family Brands’ products are shipped fresh and individually sealed in air-tight vacuum-packaged bags. Your order will arrive in an insulated shipping container that is chilled with gel packs.

 

How long will my meat stay fresh in its original shipping container?

Our packages are designed to withstand up to 48 hours of unrefrigerated transit time to their destinations. Upon delivery, perishable items should be removed from the shipping container and placed in refrigeration immediately

 

Why is all the meat sent in vacuum-packaged bags?

All of our meat is vacuumed-packed in order to ensure that you have a fresh product at the time of and up to 7 days after delivery of your order.

 

Can I place an order and send the products to multiple addresses?

Absolutely. There are directions to send products to multiple addresses during the checkout stage.

 

ORDERING

Are there deadlines for ordering near the holidays?

From time to time, we ask that orders requested to be delivered before specified holidays be submitted in advance of certain dates. When applicable, these dates will be publicized at the time of checkout.

 

What does it mean if it says that my shipment is on pre-order? When can I expect my shipment?

Mosner Family Brands selects and fabricates all cuts to order. Occasionally, we may require more than one business day to source the perfect cut of popular or specialty products and, as a result, your shipment may appear on pre-order. If for any reason we are unable to fill and ship your order within two business days or we cannot source an item you ordered, a company representative will contact you to find a solution that best fits your needs.

 

 

PRODUCT CARE

How long can I store the meat in my refrigerator or freezer?

Upon delivery, perishable items should be removed from the shipping container and placed in refrigeration immediately. Our products should be stored in their original vacuum packaging and consumed within 7 days for the optimal eating experience.

 

If you choose to freeze your meat items, we recommend consuming products within the following timeframes:

- Beef: 6 Months

- Lamb and Veal: 3-4 Months

- Pork and Poultry: 3 Months

 

Is there a proper method to defrost my meat if I choose to freeze it?

We suggest that you place your meat in a refrigerator and allow it to defrost slowly overnight.

 

 

CUSTOMER SERVICE

I received my order, but there are missing or incorrect items. What should I do?

I did not receive my package as scheduled and I’m uncertain if my meat is safe to consume. How do I know?

We work hard with our carrier to ensure that our products are delivered on time, but occasionally extraordinary circumstances affect the timeliness of your delivery. Your order was packed with sufficient gel packs to withstand up to 48 hours of transit time. As long as your perishable items arrive and feel cool to the touch they are safe to consume.

The vacuum-packaging was damaged upon delivery, is the meat still good?

If your meat arrives and is cool to the touch then it is safe to consume, even if a vacuum-packaged bag has been damaged during transit. If for any reason you have concerns about the overall condition that you package has arrived in, please contact us immediately at orders@mfbny.com or call us at 1-718-328-5600 Monday- Friday from 8am-4pm EST. Please make sure you report all product concerns within 48 hours of your scheduled delivery.
